About Digital Vellum
In 2001, Scott Wolter founded Digital Vellum as a CAD services firm. The mission was simple: to provide professional, quality CAD services to civil engineers, surveyors and earth science professionals utilizing the latest Autodesk software.
Today, our mission remains unchanged. We still focus on the unique needs of each customer. Our list of services and solutions has grown but Digital Vellum still provides professional, quality services in a timely manner, remaining true to our mission and founder’s philosophy of customer service.
Digital Vellum, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA, has provided services to engineering firms, resellers, and government agencies throughout the United States and Europe.
Scott Wolter has been in the civil engineering field since 1992. Scott has held positions in various firms specializing in land and hydrographic surveying, site development, geotechnical, and scientific specialties. Scott’s roles have included production drafting, surveying, construction observation, CAD management, training, and civil design for projects ranging from dredging to road design to site grading.
In 2004, Scott co-authored the first book on Civil 3D, “Introducing Autodesk Civil 3D." His second and third books, "Digging Deeper into Autodesk Civil 3D 2007" and "Digging Deeper into Autodesk Civil 3D 2008" were released in December 2006 and December 2007, respectively..
